Attack on Titan The Musical

ATTACK on TITAN: The Musical is based on one of the best-selling manga series of all time (140 million copies sold worldwide). This adaptation of the Japanese comic/graphic novel by Hajime Isayama combines traditional musical theater techniques with state-of-the-art technology and features a cast of 35 actors.

This production will be performed in Japanese with supertitles in English. Directed by Go Ueki, ATTACK on TITAN: The Musical premiered in Osaka and Tokyo to great success in January 2023. This City Center engagement marks not only the American and New York premiere, but also the first production outside Japan.

Aioi no Matsu: Twin Pine Trees - Arte Laguna Prize Venice 2024

“Aioi no Matsu (Jap. 相生松): Twin Pine Trees” is a contemporary dance performance inspired by the traditional Japanese Theatre Noh play “Takasago.”

The narrative unfolds with a Woman and a Man as caretakers of two pine trees on distant shores—Takasago and Sumiyoshi. The Woman tends to the Sumioe tree, and the Man cares for the Takasago tree. United in marriage, their love imbues these trees with an otherworldly quality, transforming them into the symbolic “Aioi no Matsu,” representing an eternal connection as legends suggest.

Our unique physical performance reimagines this traditional tale using contemporary tools like tricking, contemporary dance, movement art, and physical theatre. The play is accompanied by Japanese traditional music, creating a distinct atmosphere. This collaboration showcases the artistic potential of reshaping a traditional story within a modern context, resulting in a truly exceptional and innovative performance.

No Dragon No Lion Tour - TS crew

No Dragon No Lion redefining the martial arts and performing arts on stage by integrating Cantonese opera with kung fu, acrobatics, parkour, tricking, capoeira and dance. Furthermore, it transforms the Lion Dance to a new form of performance by replacing the traditional drum music with live beatboxing. Also, by fusing different comedic effects, No Dragon No Lion is an energetic and entertaining contemporary dance and circus show yet with rich cultural overtones.

舞台「ねじまき鳥クロニクル」

世界的に評価される村上春樹の傑作長編『ねじまき鳥クロニクル』を、イスラエルの奇才インバル・ピントと気鋭のアミール・クリガーの演出、演劇界の俊英藤田貴大の脚本で舞台化し、音楽を大友良英が手掛けた創造性豊かな意欲作。2020年の初演時に、公演期間の短縮を余儀なくされた伝説のステージが、ついに今秋11月に再演される。

初演から引き続き、主人公の岡田トオル役は成河と渡辺大知が二人で一人の人間の多面性を演じ、村上ワールドにいざなう不思議な女子高生・笠原メイ役を門脇麦が演じる。

圧倒的な悪として存在する綿谷ノボル役は、初演で衝撃的なダンスシーンを見せた大貫勇輔と、新たに、バレエダンサーとして世界的に活躍し現在は俳優としても多くの舞台に出演する首藤康之がダブルキャストで務める。
トオルを不思議な世界へ導く加納マルタ・クレタ姉妹役は、昨年退団した宝塚歌劇団で娘役として歌・ダンス・芝居の技量が高く評価された音くり寿が新たに挑む。
さらに初演でこの壮大な物語をクリエイターと共に創り上げた松岡広大、成田亜佑美、さとうこうじ、吹越満、銀粉蝶が再演でも演じ・歌い・踊り、表現していく。
またインバル・ピントによる唯一無二の振付を、加賀谷一肇、川合ロン、東海林靖志、鈴木美奈子、藤村港平、皆川まゆむ、陸、渡辺はるか、８名の表現力豊かなコンテンポラリーダンサーが魅せる。
観客を異世界へ導く生演奏は大友良英、イトケン、江川良子の３名が続投する。
